Well... *cough* Barbie - Mariposa, the butterfly fairy is probably not the kind of fanart one would expect from me (I couldn't refuse, yet - not that special person who wanted it ).
Please feel free to criticise I'm sure you'd notice something I didn't.
Positive aspect: I managed to draw this without a sketch - this means directly with black marker without making suuuch grave mistakes. Negative aspect: I didn't make a sketch because I don't have the slightest idea how to sketch decently (you know, the circles and lines stuff ) Err, her anatomy is weird and the pose is somewhat... stiff. Well, it's a doll. Note to self: Dolls with weird, idealised anatomy are not to be used as reference *lol* even less so if one is not exactly able to draw correct anatomy and interesting poses.
Positive aspect: I made her wings transparent instead of just pink like in the movie. Negative aspect: I had to do this because I noticed I forgot to draw her wings - after lining the background *G* (the wings were pure hell - I don't know why, probably lack of practice once again).
Positive aspect: So... colourful... Negative aspect: Done with cheap markers --> looks like a children's colouring. Probably a decent artist *glances at certain people on her watch list* would be still able to shade beautifully even with such materials.
Positive aspect: So... glittering, even with different glitter glues for the different objects! Negative aspect: Scanner ate the effect, of course -.-
Positive aspect: I somewhat like her stubborn face and the punk-ish make-up. Negative aspect: Not so Barbie-sh anymore because of that XD.
Oh well, at least I scanned the outlines, so I'll be able to colour this somewhat better - hopefully (computer is more forgiving than markers...) and I'll put this one in scraps ^^
Love it!!! Even if it has anatomy problems - who am I to talk??? - I think it's beautiful. Love her face, her hair, the wings, how them mix with the background... the colours... It looks like glass painting. Well done!!!

You're to kind, I really don't deserve your praise You called even the childlike colouring without shading "glass painting" I guess I'll colour this again, I'm really not content with it. The only thing I really like is her face, even if it's unrealistic (well, Barbies aren't exactly realistic ) Thank you so much

Yes, that Barbie Mariposa doll don'tlookatmelikethat!
Hahaha! Me too. Aside from breasts. And legs. o_O So, if a human body would consist of a pair of legs, a pair of breasts and one head, I would probably draw anatomy fairly well XD

I was not being kind. It's really good. It's just the second piece you submited, remember that. It's so detailed, the bk is so rich - I'm too lazy for that - that I honestly have to compliment you for that. And yes, her face is lovely. Yes, her wings are lovely and creative and yes, I love the colours. That's what you can expect from a colour-addict like me. You're very welcome.
